Introduction to Houston Hires Vets Dawson Consulting Group is supporting Houston Freedom Fest honoring Vets on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2007 in downtown Houston. The event offers a unique opportunity for companies to attract Vets for job opportunities as they transition to the civilian workforce. Not only will the event be broadcast locally, but will be web cast around the world including on the Military Network which reaches active duty personnel in Iraq and other locations. The City of Houston is hosting a parade prior to Houston Freedom Fest and Lee Greenwood is the featured entertainer for the event. In addition, exhibit and food booths will be open during the afternoon festivities. A minimum donation of $500 for companies with over 100 employees and $150 for less than 100 employees is requested and qualifies as a charitable donation for tax purposes.
